In today's fast paced society it can sometimes be difficult to focus on the basic requirements that we as women need to stay happy and healthy.

How many of us live a 'healthy lifestyle' in between working, tending to the kid's needs, cooking or cleaning and generally running around like a headless chicken? Maybe you don't have the time or the money to go to the gym, but by walking up just half an hour earlier in the morning, why not treat yourself to some peaceful Me Time? Watch the sunrise with a home-made healthy fruit smoothie drink one day and indulge in some meditation or yoga to start the day feeling flexible and strong another.

Instead of munching on a bag of crisps whilst on the go, why not pre-pack some of your favourite fruit or vegetable snacks?

The advantages of just a little exercise and healthy eating each day are not only psychologically rewarding, making you feel more confident and in control of your mind and body, but the outcome is physically pleasing as you will become firmer and lose any extra unwanted weight.

Beauty isn't just skin deep; in order to be truly beautiful you must take holistic care of yourself. And remember, if you spend the whole week eating rabbit-food salad, treat yourself to a nice bottle of wine or chocolate pudding at the weekend; you deserve it!
